Cancún & Riviera Maya wedding photographer - Film & Digital in Mexico

We are Paco and Aga, wedding photographers in the Riviera Maya. We cover weddings from Cancún to Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Akumal, and across the Caribbean coast of Mexico. It's one of the most varied stretches of coastline in the world - from grand resort celebrations to smaller, more intimate ceremonies - and we love photographing all of it.

We work at major resorts, boutique properties, and private venues across the coast. We also photograph in cenotes - those extraordinary natural sinkholes unique to the Yucatán Peninsula, and some of the most visually striking settings we've ever worked in. For couples drawn to a more secluded atmosphere, we also travel to Tulum.

Our style is editorial and documentary. We work quietly, stay close to the action, and use both film and digital to make sure your images feel personal and timeless rather than generic resort photography.

If you're planning a Riviera Maya wedding and want photography that's honest, emotional, and beautifully made - we'd love to hear about it.

Film wedding photography in Riviera Maya

The Caribbean light of the Riviera Maya - turquoise water, lush greens, warm golden evenings - translates beautifully onto film. Whether it's a beach ceremony at sunset, a jungle setting filtering light through the canopy, or the extraordinary blue of a cenote, analog photography captures the Caribbean palette with a warmth and depth that feels completely right for the place. We shoot primarily on Kodak Portra and Kodak Gold.

Film is available as an add-on to our digital coverage. If you're interested in incorporating film into your Riviera Maya wedding, get in touch and we'll talk through what makes sense for your day.

FAQ

Which areas of the Riviera Maya do you cover? We cover the full coast - Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Akumal, Tulum, and the areas in between. Whether you're at a large resort or a boutique venue, we'll be there.

Where are you based? Our base shifts between Europe and Mexico depending on the time of year. We spend several weeks to months each year photographing weddings on the Caribbean coast, and travel costs are included in our Mexico packages.

Can we meet before booking? Absolutely - either in person if timing allows, or over video call anytime. We always recommend a conversation before booking so we can get to know each other properly.

How can we get your availability and pricing details? Contact us through this form and we'll get back to you with all the details.

What is the difference between film and digital wedding photography? Film produces warm, textured images with a tonal quality many people find more emotional and timeless. Digital gives us full coverage flexibility and performs better in very low light. For the Riviera Maya - with its beautiful natural light - the two work extremely well together.

Do you only use analog cameras? No - we carry both throughout the day and make real-time decisions about which suits each moment best. Most couples choose a combination of film and digital for their full coverage.

How do you deliver the film photos? Film is developed at a professional lab, negatives are scanned and processed, and the resulting JPGs are delivered alongside your digital images through your online gallery. Some frames may show a slight scanner border which can be cropped if preferred.
