If you're interested in film photography for your wedding, we invite you to check out our analog gallery
Film wedding photography offers a timeless and romantic quality that digital images can't replicate. With its unique texture, depth, and warmth, film captures the essence of the wedding day in a way that feels both nostalgic and profoundly authentic. Embracing the unpredictability and the natural beauty of analog photography, we strive to craft images that are not just photographs, but enduring pieces of art. For couples seeking a distinctive and elegant portrayal of their Mallorca wedding, film photography provides an unmatched depth of emotion and an aesthetic that stands the test of time.
Analog photography has experienced a remarkable resurgence in recent years, and we're thrilled to include it in our wedding photography offerings. Our services range from exclusively analog collections to smaller add-ons to digital coverage, blending the timeless appeal of film with the versatility of digital photography. So if film photography is something you'd like to incorporate into your wedding day, reach out to us today for more information.
How would you describe your photography approach? We like to think about our photography as full of style and elegance, but without discarding the natural, documentary way of shooting. For most of the day you won't see us, but we will be there to guide you through the portrait session and make sure you look your best in the pictures. Of course, each Mallorca wedding is different and we try to adapt to the needs of every couple.
What is the difference between film wedding photography and digital? Analog photography surely has its particular charm. For us, it's the little imperfections of film photography that slowly disappeared with the introduction of digital cameras. While we love modern technology, which gives us much freedom in trying various shots without worrying about the photo count, the analog film limits are the ones that spark a whole new level of creativity.
Do you only shoot with analog cameras? For collections that include film, we use various cameras on the wedding day, both analog and digital. Throughout the day, there are many different situations, and each requires a specific approach. We leverage our knowledge and experience to decide which camera and settings are best in any given moment.
How many digital vs analog photos will I get? Most of our collections include a minimum of 600 digital files and you can choose a film add-on with different photo count, depending on your needs.
Do you shoot color or black and white film? We usually split 50/50 between color and black and white film rolls, if possible. However, if you have a preference for more B/W or more color, we can certainly accommodate that.
Do you do wedding videos? Currently we don't offer wedding videos, but we can recommend you a few great videographers for your wedding in Mallorca.
Can we share our photos on social networks? Of course, all the photos you want! We would greatly appreciate if you could tag/mention us on Instagram ;)
Which analog film do you use? We use a combination of different film types throughout the wedding day, as no single type suits every situation. Our go-to film rolls are Kodak Portra, Kodak Gold, and Ilford HP5 or Delta, but we're also open to experimenting with other brands.
How do you deliver the film photos? What is the process? After shooting, the film is developed in a professional lab. Then, the negatives are scanned using a special film scanner. We deliver the resulting JPG files to you through your online wedding gallery. The black uneven frame you might see around some shots occurs because the scanner reads a frame slightly larger than the photo itself. This frame can be cropped later if desired.
Are there any travel fees? No, all our Mallorca packages already include any possible travel costs.
Can we meet before booking you for our wedding in Mallorca? Absolutely! Meeting allows us to discuss your plans and understand what you're looking for in an analog film wedding photographer. If an in-person meeting isn't feasible, we're happy to arrange a video chat at your convenience.
We love the idea of having you photographing our wedding! What is the best way to get in touch? Contact us through this form.
Looking to elope? Planning a Mallorca elopement is an awesome idea! Actually, whether you're planning a huge multiday event or an intimate party, Mallorca is an ideal place for any wedding. The island provides everything that you can ask for in a Mediterranean location, from rocky clifftops, sandy beaches and hidden calas, to luxury resorts and mouth-watering cuisine, which makes getting married on Mallorca an incredible adventure. Continue reading to find out why we think you should consider eloping in Mallorca!
Geographic location and access The Balearic Islands are only a short flight from most European capitals and have great connections to bigger cities throughout the whole continent. This makes it perfect if you're thinking of combining your Mallorca wedding with a tour around Europe. Of course, Mallorca itself offers plentiful attractions so there's nothing wrong with planning a longer stay without leaving the island!
Sunny days all year round Let's face it, no one wants it to rain on their wedding day! With its 300 days of sun, Mallorca is one of the top European locations for enjoying an outdoor celebration. Hot summers and mild winters represent the usual weather of this Mediterranean island. Between June and September Mallorca enjoys long sunny days and cloudless skies, with only a few raindrops. May and October, though slightly cooler, still provide lots of warm days (and significantly fewer tourists!). If your priority is not perfect beach weather, one of the options would be to plan your Mallorca elopement on a weekday in November or March. During, those months the tourist traffic decreases to a minimum and it's much easier to have a popular location just to yourselves, whether for the vows or a photo session.
Variety of beautiful spots Not sure which landscape you prefer for your Mallorca elopement? The island offers lots of breath-taking spots to get married. Cap de Formentor is definitely our favourite as, though only available outside of summer months, it offers spectacular views of the coastline. The south and east part of Mallorca is where the big beautiful sandy beaches are, but they do get crowded when the weather is nice. If a seaside elopement in Mallorca is your plan, there are a few spots on the island accessible after a long walk or only by boat, that could fit the plan. Prefer more comfort while saying your wedding vows? You don't have to sacrifice the stunning views. A great idea is to get married in one of the cute boutique hotels that are scattered across the island. A variety of accommodations have access to privileged views, whether you prefer the blue horizon of the Mediterranean or the greenery of Sierra de Tramuntana.
Wedding specialists who will help Every year a lot of couples decide to get married in Mallorca. After all, it is a perfect place to tie the knot. Over the years a beautiful wedding industry has developed on the island, full of experts that know Mallorca very well and know how to plan and execute the best wedding celebration. Whether you're looking for a celebrant, a wedding photographer, a planner or a florist, it's not so hard to find someone on Mallorca that exactly understands what you need. We've worked with a great number of local professionals and can recommend you the best in the industry, just drop us a line!
Freedom in planning This applies to most elopements, not only on Mallorca but is still worth mentioning. Unlike when planning a traditional wedding, every decision is really up to you! No need to think about what the guests will say, will they like the food, will they be comfortable, etc. You can just focus on both of you, and how you want your beautiful wedding to look, the sky is the limit!
Amazing elopement wedding photos So, you're saying your vows on this beautiful cliff on Mallorca, just before the sun sets, both of you madly in love, gazing into each other's eyes... who wouldn't want to have this moment captured forever? Elopement photography has become very popular in recent years and it's not a surprise. Having a beautiful couple in front of the lens surrounded by breath-taking Mallorcan scenery is most definitely any wedding photographer's dream. The best thing about eloping is that there is no strict schedule set for anything, so any moment at any location could be turned into a photo session. With that being said, keep in mind that a great wedding photographer will know when to ask you for a pose and when it's best to "be invisible" and give you the intimacy you need. It's quite important to look for a professional that understands what is important for you and won't ruin the magic moment! After all, it's all about you and your adventure and not about the photos.
Honeymooning included! Did we mention already that Mallorca is a perfect travel destination?? Whether you're looking for sandy beaches, water sports, mountain hiking, history, culture, or nightlife, it's all here. We definitely recommend planning your stay on Mallorca at least a week long to get to know all that the island offers.
